New Infiniti Commercial Features Formula One Driver Sebastian Vettel

Grubbs Infiniti is excited about the new Infiniti TV spot is set to air in the upcoming Montreal Formula One (F1) race on June 10. This spot features Sebastian Vettel and highlights the Infiniti/F1 partnership, while focusing on Infiniti’s perspective of luxury performance.

Yokohama, Japan (15th March 2012) – Infiniti, the luxury car manufacturer from Japan, today announces the forthcoming launch of a major global advertising campaign featuring Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel, the double Formula One World Champion, will be the focus of an above the line strategy encompassing digital media, viral content films, a series of collector’s posters and Infiniti’s first ever globally broadcast television commercial.

The launch of the TV ad, filmed on location in Spain prior to the final pre-season F1 test session in Catalunya in early March, is scheduled to coincide with the weekend of the 2012 Monaco Grand Prix (26-27th May).

The collaboration builds on the relationship established between Infiniti and the Red Bull Racing driver in 2011, when Vettel was named as Infiniti’s first ever Global Brand Ambassador. Along with driving an Infiniti FX50S as his personal road car and making regular media appearances for the brand, Vettel was also central to the design and development of his ‘ultimate Infiniti’, the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel Version. This 300kph racing-inspired Infiniti FX will be making the transition from concept car to a limited edition production run, as announced at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month.

2012 marks the second year of partnership between Infiniti and Red Bull Racing and will see more prominent Infiniti branding on the F1 cars, drivers and team equipment. Both organisations are exploring the opportunities for a technical collaboration in the future.

Speaking about the upcoming advertising campaign, Simon Sproule, Corporate Vice President, Global Marketing Communications, Nissan Motor Company, said: “This is an exciting new campaign which, following on from last year’s successful Vettel FX project, further illustrates how Infiniti is maximising its partnership with Sebastian Vettel.

“Sebastian is undoubtedly the biggest name within the world’s most high profile form of motorsport, and he epitomises Infiniti’s ‘Inspired Performance’ tagline. We feel he is the perfect person to lead the brand’s first ever global advertising campaign.

“The campaign will help to communicate Infiniti’s unique approach to performance and luxury, a philosophy shared by Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing.”

Commenting on the upcoming ad, Sebastian Vettel said: “Having driven the range of Infinitis for the past year and co-developed a special edition FX, I was happy to work with Infiniti on this campaign. I had great fun shooting the advert in Spain, and I can’t wait to see the finished product in the coming weeks!”

Video Introduction of Infiniti LE Concept

The Infiniti LE Concept Electric car was introduced today at the New York Auto Show and provided one of the highlights of this year’s auto show.

The new Infiniti LE Concept car features several revolutionary innovations including a new Intelligent Park Assist system that works in conjunction with Nissan’s Around View camera monitoring system and is able to automatically center the car over the wireless charging system. This means owners can simply drive home and let the car park itself. There’s no hassle of fetching a cable with Infiniti’s electric car.

The interior of the LE Concept is typical of an Infiniti vehicle, coming with a double-wave design highlighted by LEDs flowing in two waves from front to back. The center console has a big, iPad-like LCD screen for controlling the vehicle’s infotainment system, while a sculpted shift knob is used to controls the drive system.

EMERG-E Electric Hybrid Sports Car Concept W/ Video

Infiniti has revealed the first images of a highly advanced, range-extending electric sports car concept that is scheduled to be revealed at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2012. The sports car concept is being created to extend the potential for high-performance, low-emission electric vehicles.

Explaining the strategy behind the concept, Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd and Infiniti said: “At the Geneva show next year, we will present our vision for a totally new kind of inspired premium performance car. Infiniti already has hybrid and clean diesel models on sale. And with an all-electric sedan on the way, the natural next step was to push the boundaries where performance and the environment intersect.”

Building on the success of the Essence and Etherea, Infiniti’s new sports car concept car will also provide a preview the brand’s future design language.

Reviews From People Like You

I was thorn between getting a MB-GLK, Acura MDX, a Honda Pilot, and an FX35. I did my research and some test driving, and the FX35 came tops. I was almost discouraged by a consumer review on the FX that mentioned something about the transmission of the 7 speed models not having power when you need it and some noise that sounds like a car hits you from behind. In fairness to this review, sometimes in “within city” stop and go traffic, you get some slight lags before a thrust, but I do not consider this a problem. As an owner of other Japanese imports, I know this is a common occurrence.I have had my 2011 FX for a month and the only sound I hear when driving is the beautiful sound of the FX engine which is dulled by the very quiet cabin.
More so,the FX comes standard with a lot of options which are extras on other vehicles in it’s class. The NAV system in the FX, updates itself in comparison with some that needs occasional updating. The blind spots are not as bad as described and the interior is surprisingly roomier than you would envisage. The dash is a beauty to behold at night.
As for the way the FX drives, that I cannot explain with words. You need to test drive one to experience it. And it’s got the wow factor to it’s design.” By JT
I’ve always liked the Fx for its concept look, and decided to get one this fall. I couldn’t be happier. The look is polarizing, but I can’t take my eyes off of it–!– and have been complimented regularly since getting it. I love the flared front wheel wells and overall aggressive look. Very quick, feels like its on rails handling curves. Beautiful interior– embroidered seats, large, bright nav screen, easy- to-use interface make driving a joy. If you want a unique vehicle that beautifully blends a sports car with an SUV, this is your ride. There are RXs, MDXs, and X3s everywhere, but this is still only occasionally seen on the road…I love that in particular.” By Andy McG
