Grubbs Infiniti #1 In The Nation

When the Grubbs family opened the doors to our new location next to DFW Airport, we wanted our customers to feel pampered and relaxed while buying a car.  George Grubbs III and George Grubbs Junior were absolutely meticulous in designing how the dealership would run on a daily basis and how it would “feel” to each customer.  They emphasized an unforgettable experience where people could relax, eat lunch or a snack in a fully catered kitchen, enjoy comfortable retreats to catch up with friends or get work done.  Unique, contemporary art is found everywhere throughout the dealership, complimenting the artistic lines and sleek INFINITI vehicles that take center stage.

George Grubbs III credits much of the success to bold new vehicles from INFINITI.   “The Q60 delivers innovative performance and design that excites our customers.  This is luxury within your grasp.  You’re driving the kind of vehicle that inspires Formula 1 engineers.”  The QX60 was also a popular choice for a luxury SUV.

“As our bestselling SUV, the INFINITI QX60 was designed with safety and versatility as its highest priorities. With safety features including Predictive Forward Collision Warning and Forward Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection available, the QX60 incorporates industry-leading safety technologies” said Randy Parker, VP, INFINITI of Americas.

This accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support from INFINITI, our dedicated staff and our loyal customers who have trusted us with their business.

“On behalf of everyone at Grubbs, I want to congratulate our team for what you do every single day including sales, service, body shop, administration, make-ready…everyone. We’re the number one INFINITI dealership in the nation for good reason,” said Wes Hays, General Manager.  “We tip our hats to our competitors because they gave us a good fight.  But when our team sets a goal, nothing can stop us.  We want to be the best at what we do and let every customer leave feeling like they just experienced the easiest, most relaxed way to buy a car.”

With the exceptional growth and sales in 2016, Grubbs INFINITI is poised to set even more records for 2017.  We’re proud of our #1 INFINITI Dealer in the USA designation!  More importantly, we’re committed to keeping it by providing an impeccable service, a vast selection and total transparency in what we do.

Day Tripping: Time for Fun

Day Tripping QX60

It’s weird how fast winter flew by here in North Texas this year.  I’m pretty sure it was a few weeks of sweaters and coats and then everybody switched back to shorts and t-shirts.  You gotta admit, we do enjoy some spectacular weather here in Dallas/Ft Worth.

Which brings me to my point: you don’t have to leave to take a vacation.  Don’t get me wrong, I love to travel and I’ve promised myself that I will hike to the top of Machu Picchu and visit the Great Pyramids before it’s all said and done.  But taking my kids to Grapevine’s Great Wolf Lodge is easy, fun and doesn’t require a plane ticket.

Have you been to Addison’s Cavanaugh Flight Museum?  It’s got an amazing collection of 58 restored airplanes from World War I to the Vietnam era.  Grab lunch at J’s Breakfast and Burgers, a great local place, and you’ve got another adventure under your belt that’s unique and affordable.

Or, load up the Infiniti with a tent, sleeping bags and a cooler full of cheese whiz and crackers and head for Wills Point and the beautiful Lake Tawakoni State Park.  It’s a lot closer to DFW than you think and feels like a world away.  Go fishing, do a little hiking and basically reconnect with your family and friends.

One of my kid’s favorite spots is in Glen Rose and the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.  The drive-thru exotic animal park is spectacular and they offer lodge and safari camp for kids.  Glen Rose has so much fantastic local restaurants and shops that you’ll easily let a weekend slip by and return to work feeling relaxed and refreshed.

All in all, North Texas is it’s own vacation destination and I hope you and your family will do a little exploring on your own.  For now, the Great Pyramids will have to wait.  There’s a fish in Lake Tawakoni with my name on it.

See you on the road.

Grubbs Infiniti and Miss Texas 2014

George Grubbs III and Monique Evans Post

As my daughter grows up, I hope and pray that she’ll be happy, successful and have a bright future.  I hope she follows her heart and her dreams.  Of course I think she’s the most beautiful, wonderful, smart and talented kid on the planet and I’m sure I’m not the only father who feels this way.  In fact, I can only imagine how proud Monique Evan’s father was when she was crowned Miss Texas 2014 last Saturday night at the 79th Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant at the Eisemann Center in Richardson.  Meeting her when she visited Grubbs Infiniti, I knew that Monique Evans is a young woman with a very bright future.

Produced by the Miss Texas Organization, the Miss Texas competition exists for the purpose of providing personal and professional opportunities for young Texas women and promoting their voice in culture, politics and community. The competition was founded in 1936 by a group of civic-minded citizens concerned about higher education. The first Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant has evolved into what is recognized today as one of the best organized and well managed of all state pageants.

Grubbs Infiniti has been a proud sponsor of the Miss Texas Scholarship pageant for four years and we donate the use of an Infiniti during her reign. When I spoke with her, Monique told me she always knew she wanted to be a doctor.  “My father suffered a heart attack when he was 60.  After that, I wanted to go into preventative medicine.” she said.  “He loves his steak and potatoes. Don’t we all, but you have to have it in moderation.”  Watching what he endured inspired her to work to help others live healthy lives to prevent heart disease. “I love my dad. I wouldn’t be where I am now without him,” she said.  Miss Texas is a nutritional science pre-med major at the University of Texas.

Here at Grubbs Infiniti, we’re proud to continue to sponsor this worthwhile organization.  The Miss America Organization is the largest donor of scholarship assistance for young women, awarding over $45 million annually. Miss Texas 2014 will receive a $10,000 cash scholarship and you’ll see her around Texas driving her beautiful new Infiniti from Grubbs Infiniti.  You’ll probably meet her at one of our many Drive2Give programs here in North Texas or the grand opening of our newest… and the world’s largest… new Infiniti dealership in Grapevine in 2015.  And, as this vivacious and gracious young woman faces a bright future, I’ll hope that one day my little girl will also be inspired to follow her heart and her dreams as well.

Grubbs Infiniti: Legacy of Excellence

Our legacy of excellence began in 1948 when my grandfather, Hubert Grubbs, first sold used automobiles in front of his grocery store in Dallas. His friendly, down-to-earth customer service and commitment to quality earned him a loyal base of customers.  So he expanded and opened a used car lot and later a new car dealership in Dallas in the 1950’s.

My grandfather, George Grubbs Sr., soon followed in Hubert’s footsteps after graduating from SMU. He and my grandmother, Jeanne, moved to Roswell, New Mexico, to start their own used car dealership and later their own new car dealership. They firmly established what would become an ongoing family tradition. As far as my grandfather was concerned, anyone could sell a car, but to make his dealership truly stand apart and above the rest, he sought to completely satisfy his customers’ needs. This “customer first” philosophy would be passed down for generations to come.

Today, the Grubbs family continues to grow and establish themselves as THE name to trust for exceptional value and customer service in Dallas/Ft Worth.  George Grubbs Jr. was a founding Infiniti dealer and the first in Texas and he made the decision to build what was at the time the largest Infiniti dealership in the United States in Euless, after originally being in Fort Worth.  When I graduated from Baylor University, I took over Grubbs Infiniti and much like my father and grandfather, I’m ready to take the luxury car-buying experience to a whole new level.

The Grubbs Family is building what will again be the largest Infiniti dealership in the world.  The new Grubbs Infiniti, which broke ground in February 2014, will be 75,000 square feet on part of 16 acres of land at State Highway 114 and Texas Trail.  This state-of-the-art facility will feature a Customer Cafe with catered snacks, lunches and desserts made fresh everyday plus a VIP Lounge with free WIFI and Starbucks Coffee.  Everything is being designed to truly pamper every customer and create a fantastic experience.

Three generations of Grubbs family members gathered together to talk about our new dealership and what this new direction means for our family and our customers.  I hope you enjoy the video.  I also hope you’ll welcome us to Grapevine and when we open the doors, you’ll discover why the Grubbs Family will continue to be the name Dallas/Ft Worth trusts for quality, service and luxury.

Excited About Concrete

Grubbs Infin Grade BeamYou wouldn’t think that I’d be excited about a piece of concrete, but I am.  This week, I stepped foot on a new pathway on what will be the new Grubbs Infiniti in Grapevine.  What I saw in that humble piece of concrete is the beginning of what will be our flagship, our new home and a new beginning for my family and our amazing associates and team members.   And, as more concrete is poured and steel is erected to form the walls, I’ll be working hard to prepare for what lies ahead.  We plan to open at the beginning of 2015 and we have a lot of work to do.

Like anything, change brings challenges and I feel confident that our team is ready to meet them with passion, dedication and determination.  We’ll be building what will be the largest Infiniti dealership in the nation that will feature some of the most innovative and luxurious amenities you’ve ever seen.  When you visit the new Grubbs Infiniti in Grapevine, plan to be pampered from the moment you step out of your vehicle.  You’re going to love our VIP Lounge where you can relax, enjoy free WiFi with Starbucks Coffee.  Or, if you’re hungry, visit our amazing Customer Café with catered snacks, lunches and desserts made fresh every day.  Everything will be truly customer focused and our new design will combine streamlined aesthetics and luxury details.   And, when it comes to selection, you’ll have over 12 acres of inventory to choose from surrounded with native landscaping and energy conscious and green planning.

Right now, it’s like a bee-hive with people and work trucks adding concrete and steel and moving a lot of earth around.  To most people, it’s a big construction project and doesn’t look like much yet.   To me, it’s pretty beautiful and represents a whole world of possibilities for our valued customers.

I look forward to seeing you at the Grand Opening.

My Favorite Vehicle: An Earth Mover

It Begins

You wouldn’t think you’d get excited about an Earth Mover but I think it’s my favorite vehicle  right now.  That’s because this week, an Earth Mover roared across a patch of earth and began what will be a new beginning, a new adventure and a brand new Grubbs Infiniti location in Grapevine.

My family and I have been planning this for years, but when we broke ground this week, I can tell you that it was an emotional and exciting time for us.  We have a vision:  to create a state-of-the-art environment that immerses our customers into a world of luxury, convenience, style and warmth.  Our new facility will be the largest Infiniti dealership in the nation with over 12 acres of inventory.  It will feature a VIP Lounge with beverages and fresh-brewed Starbucks Coffee plus a Customer Cafe with catered snacks, lunches and desserts.  Our new home will be so comfortable, so wonderful and relaxing that you’ll find it hard to leave.

The new Grubbs Infiniti will also mark a new opportunity to bring a whole new level of customer service to the metroplex.  Our team has been challenged to work harder, be available around the clock and to ensure that the attention each and every customer receives is nothing short of exemplary.  In truth, we’ve designed the entire dealership to be customer focused in both amenities and design and we want our team to be the perfect compliment to your experience.

In the meantime, you can trust that Grubbs Infiniti will continue to be ready to serve you in our current home and to offer you Infiniti’s exciting line of cars that include the QX50, the QX60, the QX70 and the G37.  Every vehicle will come with our amazing customer service and the Grubb’s family commitment to integrity and honesty.

But keep an eye out for our progress in Grapevine as we prepare a new home and future for our valued customers.  Don’t be surprised if you see me driving one of those big Earth Movers.
